Have you seen this photo yet? Thanks Martha. This is so easy to do. You can go to Michaels and buy the pre-cut mice or you can go to Martha’s website and get the template to print out and cut out your own. That’s what I did.
My display doesn’t have quite as many rodents as Martha’s does but next year I am planning on expanding the collection. Maybe I’ll toss in some vermin next year too. I’m not sure exactly what all is considered “vermin” but if it slithers…I’ll need a year to mentally prepare.
Now the bats…I caved (pun intended) and I purchased them already cut out from Michaels. Martha makes these too.
These could easily be done on your own as well but with the 40% off coupon they were very cheap. I tried the bats in our front window but surprisingly you couldn’t really see them from the outside. So I moved them to the mantle. Nothing too special or complicated here but kind of fun. :)

These little mice are just so cute...Fun!
This does look fun although I would probably startle myself every time I caught sight of it! I was just at Michael's last night with no intention of buying any more Halloween stuff, but I saw a banner kit that I just couldn't resist -"Happy Halloween" with everything needed, on clearance for $3.49. I couldn't pass that up!
Love that look. Wish they had these when my kids were small.
Those mice are just too cute :) I'll have to check out Ina's new book, I've never bought one before but I'm hearing great things about this one.
adorable! how are people so dang clever? i would never have thought of that.
Ewwwww....even paper rodents creep me out. Yep, I am just a big baby.
What a cute idea! I wish I would have seen this idea when my kids were little! They would have loved it! How fun!
I have wanted to do the "vermin" on the steps thing for a few years now. Never got to it. I have done the bats, only I saved myself a few "doll-hairs" and cut them out myself. Big ones, little ones. I scattered them all over one year when we had a Halloween party. Sadly, this year, I didn't "release" my bats. Didn't get to it. Now I'm thinking of hoping right now and slapping some on the walls! ;o)
You're just soooo much - such a pleasure to visit.... makes me smile every time! Jenn jennsthreegraces
Now that is just too cute!!! I want some mice NOW!!!
Love the mice steps and the bats look great too. Your blog is wonderful. I got hungry looking at those candy corn brownies and you whipped up two scarflettes? How cute are those? Wonderful
