I found a new blog today. It’s called Verses from My Kitchen and it’s got some amazing recipes on it. This is the one that had me in the market today buying Clementines and sea salt. These are incredible!
Click on either link for Michael’s recipe from his blog Verses From My Kitchen and you can find his recipe for Dark Chocolate-Covered Clementines with Chili Salt. I am not sure if you can buy chili sea salt already prepared or not. I didn’t have any so instead I used red pepper flakes and semi-sweet chocolate instead of the dark. These are very easy to make. Peel and separate the segments of your Clementines and dip them in melted chocolate. Michael used a double boiler and I used the microwave. Then after dipping one end of the Clemetines in the chocolate, set them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with sea salt and your chili pepper flakes. That’s it! Let them cool and set in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes. Michael is right when he suggests that you wait until they are fully set before enjoying them. It makes a big difference in how they taste and feel when you eat them.
These are delicious and beautiful to look at. I dare say they are even on the healthy side. :) I’ll be making these for my party on Monday too.

These look beautiful and delicious, too. I love clementines and hey...doesn't everything taste better with chocolate? The sea salt and pepper flakes will make it interesting, I'm sure.
I am going to have to make these. They sound amazing. We eat two crates of clementines a week so we always have them on hand during the winter.
They sound delicious! I love salty and sweet. Excited to see what else you make for your party.
Yummy! What a fantastic sounding flavor combination. I had a bag of Clementines a few weeks ago. I'll look for them again and try this recipe. Thank you for sharing it.
I sold our old furniture to a local store that buys used furniture and then resells it. They come to your home, give you a price and then pay you cash. Not bad considering I'm the most impatient person ever. I wanted it out before we get the new furniture. Excited is the word for me!
Have a great day Lisa!

Hi Lisa! Rebecca tweeted your clementine recipe and since I have a big box of clementines I will most certainly try this out! I hop you will stop by and link up some of your great recipes on our hearth and soul hop on tuesdays. I think you would REALLY fit in well! All the best! Alex@amoderatelife
Wow, that's different, Lisa. I definitely get the chocolate and orange, and even the sea salt - the whole "sweet/salty" thing - but the red pepper flakes are certainly a twist. I can't wait to try this!
Thank you so much for checking out my blog and taking the time to link back to it! I'm glad you liked the recipe and I hope everyone gets a kick out of them on Monday night!
Btw, if you still have plenty of clementines kicking around I posted another easy peasy recipe using them. Thanks again.

Clementine and chocoalte : a perfect wedding!!! Hugs, Flavia
These look wonderful. I would never have thought to put salt and red pepper flakes on them. Interesting and I bet it is wonderful. I’m going to try some-these look easy enough for me to make :)
I thought these sounded a little intriguing and since I had everything on hand...and since I have some gals coming Monday night too, I thought I'd give them a try. I really liked them! My family wasn't so sure but tried them and gave their stamp of approval.
Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic!
Those ARE lovely to look at, and they be delicious.
