  1. A Southern Season is amazing! It's about two miles from my son's apartment.

  2. Hi - I just stumbled on your blog today! I love this post! My sister used to live in Elon and she LOVED it - the thing she misses the most is Cheerwine milkshakes at Cookout!!!!

  3. Cute post! I've actually been working on a post about the reasons that I love living in the south. For me, it's a Texas/Oklahoma thing because that's where we've lived. It's fun to see what's important to someone in different places.

  4. Yes there is lots to like about living in the South! I forgot all about Cookout...I didn't even know they made a Cheerwine milkshake! Oh....that could be big trouble!

  5. Great answers Lisa!

We have one little extra tidbit living on the coast of NC and that is the hurricanes. Ugh....:)

  6. Funny, I was a Southerner living the midwest for years! When we returned to NC I burst into tears the first time I saw a bluebird again. Now I've learned they're up there, too. Who knew??? :)

I'd add Fearrington in Pittsboro, the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC seafood, Wing Haven in Charlotte, Wilmington and the southern beaches of NC. Whoa! Sometimes I forget just how lucky we are!

  7. I just recently moved to Charlotte, Wesley Chapel to be exact. I would like to add to your list:
    Dukes mayo
    Fried pickles

    It's all good!
