How many things can you make from an old red sweater? Well, here are two. Two up-cycled neck warmers aka scarflettes!
Remember my post from a few weeks ago?
I was so smitten with this scarflette.
Click here to see how Cheri over at I am Momma, Hear Me Roar made it.

She is so creative and she is a much cuter model than me. :)
I made these two and used some crocheted flowers that I picked up at an Arts and Craft show a few weeks ago.
I have been on the hunt for weeks looking for the gigantic buttons.
I finally found them at a new specialty sewing store here in Greensboro called Sew Heavenly.
I think it’s the gigantic buttons that makes these so cute.
This one I sewed the buttons on in a different spot. I love how it is asymmetrical.
And I love how the one part of it folds down like a mini collar.
And I still have some of that sweater leftover. I’ll have a couple more things to show you in the next few days.
Stay tuned!
I am adding this post to Tales from Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday.
And I am adding to Transformation Thursday over at The Shabby Chic Cottage.
Such a cute idea!
ReplyDeletethose are tooo cute Lisa, I love the buttons:)
ReplyDeleteI love that idea, sometimes you don't want the bulk of a big scarf. When I made a pillow out of a sweater I couldn't bring myself to cut off the sleeves. Someone suggested that I use them to make mug warmers.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute....what a great idea!!!
