I've seen that photo before somewhere, and I thought "way to ruin a perfect color combo" *snicker*
I never understood the thing for collecting doll heads. Yes, creepy indeed. But I'll take that cabinet anyday!
I found the photo on the Country Living Magazine website when I was looking for sun room decorating ideas! Yes, I'll keep the cabinet and pass on the doll heads as well!
Awesome looking cabinet...just my style...those little heads have got to go!

I'm reminded of the admonintion of William Morris, and have to wonder - - how are decapitated doll heads useful, let alone beautiful? Odd. But then, so are skulls as adornment on clothing or jewelry. Maybe I'm just a wee bit too normal? :)

Well O--Kay; that is something you don't see every day and I'm sure there is a perfectly normal reason why ;) Maybe their bodies are in the drawers (just a thought).
Someone definitely has a sense of humor! The doll heads must have been an afterthought, I hope.
Yeah, it's kinda creepy.
First of all, that Ubercreepy. Secondly, it's a bit ironic because y'know how it's January and there is NOTHING on TV that's not a re-run?? So, I thought I'd found a CSI: NY that we hadn't see so I taped it. Five minutes in, my husband says "oh yeah, this is the one the doll factory" and it looked a LOT like this picture. But y'know...with a dead guy in the middle, what with it being a crime scene and all. Anyway, thanks in advance for the nightmares I'll be having tonight. I owe ya one. :D

This photo brings back such memories for me. There was a doll factory that we passed in our town and they had all these heads looking out the top window when we would drive by...yes extremely frightening for me to see this as a child. I think I had blocked this memory for years and now I wonder if I will sleep tonight:)

Hmmm . . . yeah . . . creepy. Not at all feelin' the random decapitated heads staring at me. Very strange.
Who could possibly think that's appealing as a "display", along with the person who thought it would work in a photo shoot, and the editor who kept it in the piece . . . everyone involved! LOL
Oh well, "to each his own" as they say!
