Belgian Chocolates

 Blueberry Tart 017

My husband is finally home from his business trip to Germany and Belgium.  He missed our 25th Wedding Anniversary while he was gone.  And the poor guy has my birthday to contend with later this week.  But he was off to a good start at getting out of the “Dog House” with these various boxes of Belgian Chocolates that he brought back with him.  So delicious.  I told him he could keep the Ritter Sport bar. :)

I need three boxes of chocolate like I need a hole in my head but even still….I’m not giving them back.  But I will share.

Now that he is home we are going to try an plan a getaway trip.

Not sure where we’ll end up but I’ll keep you posted!

Mmmmm . . . chocolate . . .
He knows the way to a girl's heart! I'm sure everyone's glad to have him home.

Can't wait to hear about your getaway plans.

I am sure those chocolates are very good. The European chocolates are so much better than ours. Plan a really good trip and fill us in.

Well Happy belated Anniversary and happy early Birthday! Have fun on your getaway. You know I saw those in the background of your tart pic and was wondering what was up with those.

Nice of him to think of your chocolate habit while he was away. Did you save that blueberry tart for him in return?

I found you through Pink Martinis and Pearls ~ what fun!

Those chocolates look wonderful! Sounds like you have a lot of celebrating to do now that he is home.

I too am from Michigan but now live in Connecticut. I was thrilled to see your previous post.

Sorry he had to miss your birthday, but good chocolate had to have softened the blow a bit. Happy Anniversary again!

WHEW! I'm finally all caught up on you. So...let me say:
1) your son's room is looking awesome! The painting you did is such a lovely compliment to the pillow. And I'm crazy about those colors.
2) You're a braver woman than me. I have a stand mixer with a pasta attachment and STILL don't make my own pasta. If it's under $1.00 at the commissary, I figure I'm putting someone out of work if I don't buy it! I made my own biscotti once and while it tasted fine, it did look like something that rolled out of the litterbox.
3) The kitchen re-do is amazing. Faced with renovating our new townhouse, I will be stalking this "Surroundings" lady and you and Micah for some decorating ideas. I have a blank canvas now! And you guys are SOOO good!
4) And if I liked blueberries, I would be ALL over this. Can you do the same with strawberries or blackberries?
5) Happy Anniversary to you and your hubs. Neal's job takes him away for
TONS of important dates, but it forces you to celebrate all year long instead of just on those days. I don't prefer it, but I don't complain about it. And of course, when they come home with Belgian chocolates, all the bettah!
