How Many Things Can You Make With An Old Red Sweater?

Red Sweater Recycle 014

How many things can you make from an old red sweater? Well, here are two. Two up-cycled neck warmers aka scarflettes!

Remember my post from a few weeks ago?

I was so smitten with this scarflette.

Click here to see how Cheri over at I am Momma, Hear Me Roar made it.

She is so creative and she is a much cuter model than me. :)

I made these two and used some crocheted flowers that I picked up at an Arts and Craft show a few weeks ago.

I have been on the hunt for weeks looking for the gigantic buttons.

I finally found them at a new specialty sewing store here in Greensboro called Sew Heavenly.

I think it’s the gigantic buttons that makes these so cute.

This one I sewed the buttons on in a different spot. I love how it is asymmetrical.

And I love how the one part of it folds down like a mini collar.

And I still have some of that sweater leftover. I’ll have a couple more things to show you in the next few days.

Stay tuned!

I am adding this post to Tales from Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday.

And I am adding to Transformation Thursday over at The Shabby Chic Cottage.

I love that idea, sometimes you don't want the bulk of a big scarf. When I made a pillow out of a sweater I couldn't bring myself to cut off the sleeves. Someone suggested that I use them to make mug warmers.
