Chicks and Coops

These little chicks are kind of cute don’t you think?

Chicks 002

I found them in the the grocery store.  Harris Teeter if you live in the Southeast.  I usually don’t buy holiday decorations from the supermarket but couldn’t resist these.

Chicks 009

They had little pink bunnies and and little white lambs too.   I was able to resist them for the time being.

I think I’ve been reading too many urban farming blogs where they tell funny stories about their chickens and post cute hen and chick photos.    Take a look at this Chicken Coop.image

It belongs to Heather Bullard.  Gorgeous!

Or what about this one?  It’s actually “pretty”!  Visit The Fancy Farmgirl to see more.

I told my husband I want to put a chicken coop in the backyard and he just laughed.  I am sure the Homeowner’s Association would just laugh too. Oh, well,,,can’t have everything now can we. :)

Love those chicks you found. Those coops are cute enough to make me want to get a couple chickens. My hubby wouldn't go for it either. Love the one by Fancy Farmgirl! Now that is chickening in style!

We would love chickens! Nothing beats fresh eggs. There are chickens down the street but not in our "neighborhood association" which, like yours, does not allow farm animals. I do think that chickens would be quieter than my neighbors' dogs!

Those chicks are super cute! I've always wanted my own chickens . . . only I don't think I'd want the work to go along with them! ;o)

This is VERY good to know about Harris Teeter. We don't have a HT here in Macon, but I'm headed to Hilton Head in a couple of weeks and I know of at least 1 on the island. I will definitely be on the chick hunt!! And that Fancy Farm Girl coop actually makes me want to raise chickens. And I'm not industrious like that at all. But what a perfect little coop!! Also, my favorite channel on Pandora is French Cafe and I listen to French music all the time. Although, I think I will definitely have to find this French radio station so I can get in the mood for Paris. Technology is truly and amazing and awesome thing!!
