The Object of Her Affection (Happy New Year!)

 kid's pictures 037

This is our dog Oakley.  This is our son.  Oakley is devoted.  Can you tell?

Santa was very good to Oakley this year.   Santa brought her a carpet for the stairs so that she can be with the object of her affections.

She has no problem going up the stairs but couldn’t quite master how to come down them.  They are made of wood and she would lock up trying to come down them and there were too many close calls.  The carpet runner gives her some traction.  Now she can be with the love of her life anytime she wants.

Carpet 007

What did Santa bring your dog this year?  I’ll bet it wasn’t stair carpet.  I don’t know how he’s going to top that next year.  :)

My Happy New Year wish for you is that someone loves you as much as our dog loves our son.  Then you will truly have the world by the tail.  No pun intended. ;)

Happy New Year. We have a maltipoo that is 18.5 lbs. He is a whopper but since we moved, he has lost 1.5 lbs. from going up and down our stairs. See, he has attachment issues....he is attached to me! He won't let me out of his sight. He has seizures and I think that makes him nervous ALL THE TIME! He is going to the vet to see if he can get some meds before I NEED to get meds:) I know what you mean about the dogs coming down the stairs. We have carpet but Bit gets going so fast that I think he is going to hit the wall! These pet, I swear!

The picture of your son and Oakly melts my heart. How sweet. We have 3 dogs and 1 little boy, and they are best friends.

Santa didn't bring the pups carpet... But, I have it on good authority, that he is planning on bringing slipcovers for the couch and loveseat! :)

Happy 2010,
~Amy

Milo just got those toys that don't have stuffing. :) Got tired of having that white stuff all over the house and him gagging on it.

I think I've said it before, but I always love the Oakley posts. She is so adorable. Congrats on the Smarty Pants thing - so exciting! It sure does seem like your blog has gone into overdrive lately.

Our dog, Louie, is a mix of Chow and Golden Retriever. He is as sweet as any dog can be. He got some treats, a snuggie, a dog toothbrush with his own toothpaste, and some dog mints! If the toothpaste and mints don't work, we'll be visiting the vet for some dental work soon! Thanks Santa for trying to help!

How sweet. We have a similar love story in our home, only it's our Cat. She follows me around from room to room. The family tells me she jumps up and runs to the door when I return from an outing. She watches my every move and keeps a close watch on me at all times.

Hi...I got a new ridge vent for Christmas...ridge vent you ask? Yes, that thing that covers the tippy top of the house and my old one was leaking...big puddles in my garage every time it rained...and I live close to you, so you KNOW how much it has rained. That was my gift for my house much like your carpet....but the BEST gift I gave myself this Christmas was my new dog, Heidi! (See her on my blog ) I can certainly relate to this wonderful post of yours...as I am now the object of Heidi's affection...there's nothing like a dog! p.s. I've been enjoying your blog for a while now! Love the new look!
