More Flower Pots

Flower Pots 2 005

I am recycling again. I took all of the plastic pots that the Geraniums I planted last weekend came in and I painted all of them with black spray paint today. Then I gave them the stencil treatment. I had 10 pots to work with. I am going to start giving them away and maybe I’ll sell a few on Craig’s List. Have any of you had any luck selling things on Craig’s List??? And I almost forgot, the table in the photo above…. I picked it up this week at Goodwill for $10.00! It is perfect for the deck and I love the black iron base with the shelf and the wood top. So happy to have found this one!

My son wants to know “What’s up with the numbers?”

Flower Pots 2 014

Hey! Can’t a girl like numbers??? And besides, if it’s good enough for Pottery Barn it’s good enough for me!

So I gave the words, “relax”, “herbs”, and the French “fleurs” equal time. I have 7 pots down and 3 to go. I filled some of them with dirt and planted some Basil seeds in them. I want to grow lots of Basil this year so that I can make and freeze lots of Pesto.

And I also wanted to show you these pretty mini roses. I made an address stepping stone for one of my friend’s and delivered it today. While she and I were chatting, her husband went out and cut me some of these rose buds to say Thank You. How nice was that??!! The colors on each one is amazing. And the mini mercury glass votive holder I picked up a while ago makes the perfect vase for them.

I am hoping to get another coat of paint on the Goodwill desk I started working on before this weekend is over. I think I am going to go with the Heirloom White and then wipe on some stain to age it. I hope to be posting the finished project sooner than later. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

I have linked this post up to Thrifty Thursday over at Tales from Bloggeritaville. Come check out this weeks thriftness!

Now THAT'S impressive. I would NEVER have known those were the pots that actually come with the flowers. So darn cute. LOVE it.

I would never have thought the pots were ones that flowers or fleurs rather came in. Very ingenious of you! Love the mini roses and the mercury votive holder. I am a sucker for anything mercury glass!

Love the pots, Lisa! I'm sure I'll be getting some of those myself next week. Although I do think some of my existing pots could do with a touch of paint {and maybe a stencil or two}!

You are inspiring me to do my own pots. And once you start growing basil and making pesto, there is no turning back. You will be addicted!

I love your pots, Lisa! Really, I need to know what vitamins you're taking. You are one busy gal! I need some of your energy.

I could hear my boys saying the exact same thing. Humph . . . kids . . . wha'da they know anyway?! :o)

We've sold a few things on Craig's List - boy's old bedroom furniture, a lawn tractor. No problems.

Hi Lisa!

Well, I think your numbered pots are just brilliant! I'd definitely rank them right up there with anything from PB, no question. :-)

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Good idea to take the pots that the flowers came in! I would have never thought of that. But then again, I am not a crafty girl.

I laughed when I read what your son said. Sounds like something Caden would say:)

You Go Girl! I have to take a picture of these cool pots I picked off my neighbors trash and you tell me if you think I should paint them to stencil or not! My husband has been very successful on Craig's List. I posted on the free part for people wanting to trade perrenials - 2 woman responded and it was fun - I gave away poppies, iris, lillies, hostas and ferns and got plants I didn't have. Where did you get your stencils? Stop by again...Jennifer jennsthreegraces
