Last Day of School

Oakley and Evan 009

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  And that is a good thing and a bad thing.  Good because summer is here and it’s time lose all of the schedules.  Bad because this soon to be an ex-tenth grader would sleep all day if let him.  But he is ready for summer with his “tennis ball” head hair cut.  It’s good to be a 16 year old boy.  Sleep away most of the day and spend the rest of it at the pool.  Drive with your buddies to Chick Fil A when you get hungry and then play basketball in the driveway all night.  I wish I was looking at a summer vacation like that. :)

Your lil' boy is growing up. The relationship he has with his dog is heart-warming. So sweet. Dogs are truly man's best friend.

Teens really know how to sleep away the day, don't they? Dogs too!! LOL

Ah yes, I remember those days! Now I'm lucky I see mine a couple of days a week. Aren't they funny with the short, short haircut? I tell my son he should enjoy his head of hair because in 30 years he's going to have none, like his father! : )

Love the pics of the two of them together. My daughter would sleep away the day if I let her. Now the boy and the bitty one are up at the butt crack of dawn, except when they have to be. I am so ready for summer vacation right now. Just have to make it to Friday!

The fact that he's sitting there petting the dog tells me is a good and loving kid. Enjoy his summer vicariously! That's what I do with my kids!

I make my own cards - wouldn't that make a cute one? It cute say "scratch behind a dog's ears and you have a forever friend" I miss my son's being around during the summer - we had soooo much fun - they were nasty at times too - but I can look back now and think of the tap tap tap of the basketball with fond memroies. Hugs, Jennifer jennsthreegraces To you....I'd bring a big bowl of glorious dark sweet cherries!

All 16 yr. old boys must be the same! Caden could stay up all night and sleep all day long. Since we have been in Georgia, I have gotten up two nights at 3:30 and the boys have been up playing video games or watching movies. Mama WAS NOT happy! I still get them up at 12 noon too!
